With family

Peaceful Place in Mind

Tomorrow we leave Peru', so these words are also our farewell, in which I would like to remark how grateful I am to the people of this country who have generously looked after us again and again.

Even though we are too insignificant to be spokesmen for such a noble cause, we beleive, and this journey has only confirmed this belief, that the division of America into unstable and illusory nations in a complete fiction.
We are one single mestizo race from Mexico to the Magellan Straits and so, in an attempt to free ourselves from narrow minded provincialism I propose a toast to PEru' and to United America.

Nao so falou mais fez, Nadando across the river.

-enthusiasm
-dedication
-apreciation

I think you will find something important there for each of you.

You gotta fight for every health and tell death to go to hell.

This river it segregates the ill from the healthy.
=community help
=build together
=group
=joining together

The Hight Road is often not the easiest road, but it is the only one that leads to the highest of living.

We go to a higher level when we treat others betther than they treat us.

"A genuine friend encourages and challenges us to live out our best thoughts, honor our purest motives and achieve our most significant dreams!"

I am going to spend my birthday in the other side of the river.
How many times did we think we wouln't make it?
And look, here we are because I won't be there to help you. You will always be there to help me.
The river is very strong, the current is even stronger. Swimming torward us. You can do it, Ernesto! Just a bit more. He made it!
Make an impact in the lives of other people and at the same time yours.

She got better after the blessing!

Idaho Falls 14th, 2009.

Went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming on monday with the girls and Jenny. It was so much fun! Beautiful landscape.
Today hang out with Jelair and her beautiful kids. When arriving back at home, Shara was here, not feeling well. I guess she got the flu also. She is taking Temaflu in case the flu may be the swine flu. Hope it is not. She was felling terrible, but now a little better. She told me that she was felling terrible at her house before granpa and grandma arrived there to pick her up and right away grandpa gave her a blessing and after 2 minutes her pain went away. She felt better from the pain. She still has the sintoms but the pain in her muscles had gone away.

Studying for the certification

Idaho Falls, 30th, 2009.

Studying for the final of the physical therapy aide certification today.

Volunteering at the Hospital Palliative Care Program

Idaho Falls,29th,2009.

1st day of trainning for the Palliative Care program commonly known as confort care. Amazing learning experience thought by Celeste, nurses and members of the department of Palliative Care at the local hospital in Idaho Falls, ID. About 10 volunteers from all sorts of ages and walks of life are participating in this 4 day trainning.
We did an exercise at the end of the first day about you being the patient and things that you would give up step by step until the end of your life with cancer. Even I cried at the end, it is a very emotional experience and makes you think about life different. For me made me think that we need to live life today in the present because you never know what may happen tomorrow.

Seattle - Washington 08/14/09

Here i am back in Seattle visiting friends, volunteering for a friend that is starting a new business called Guysandgirlsnextdoor.com and staying at friends house that faces Washington Lake, beautiful and inspiring place that she is so nice to share it with me.
Got a change to visit the new building of Microsoft in Bellevue, where my friend's new office it is located at. Amazingly beautiful, nice archetecture and design of office spaces and my friend got the best spot, the last floor of the building 23rd.
I had a fun time spend with her for lunch at the top floor cafeteria and we ate a great asian bowl dish with rice, chicken and a fried roll and of course the fortune cookie..that is is so important :)
Took a few pictures and came back to downtown Seattle to help out Angel at the website. He asked me to help out to pick pictures for the website.. it is a lot of fun, but also not an easy thing..there are so many pictures and i wanted to chose the perfect one for make the website look amazing!
Came back to the vacation house apartment of my friend that faces washington lake, had dinner and just felt so in peace to stay at the house and not go out for the night. Had a wonderful and relaxing evening.

E vamo q vamo firmes a luta....

I felt like an awakening call this morning as i saw at the Microsoft website the picture of the Iguassu Falls. I place where i spent many of my years as a teenager together with my family. At the same time i connect myself of my present life as i was today returning home from work crossing a bridge under a "lake" not a river..but i put at the same context. At that time this movie came to my mind. Specially the part which Che decides to cross the river on his birthday swimming to be with the people that he really cares and admire him. He did for himself, he at that moment felt the need of liberating himself from the society which so much impose the ideas, so he went and followed his heart, mind and thoughts. HE LIVED! He saw the light at that moment in time.

A DEEP CALLING WITHIN OUR SOULS! and MY OWN SOUL! :)

Here are the lyrics of one of the songs of this fantastic movie.

Al Otro Lado Del Rio (by Jorge Drexler).

Rema, rema, rema-a Rema, rema, rema-a

Rema, rema, rema-a Rema, rema, rema-a

This song it is from my favorite movie Motorcycle Diaries.

It takes time to Realize...what i just realize!!!!

That's right it takes time to Realize what i just realize..

Music is LIFE!

Sabor a Mi

sabor a mí.

sabor a mí.

No pretendo ser tu dueño
no soy nada yo no tengo vanidad

sabor a mí." (Luis Miguel)

Amigos sao inesqueciveis!

O Tempo-
"Com o tempo, você vai percebendo que
para ser feliz com uma outra pessoa,
você precisa, em primeiro lugar,
não precisar dela. Percebe também
que aquela pessoa que você ama
(ou acha que ama) e que não quer
nada com você, definitivamente, não é o
homem ou a mulher da sua vida.
Você aprende a gostar de você, a cuidar
de você e, principalmente, a gostar de
quem também gosta de você. O segredo
é não correr atrás das borboletas .....
É cuidar do jardim para que elas
venham até você. No final das contas,
você vai achar não quem você estava procurando,
mas quem estava procurando por você". (Mario Quintana).
"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." Goethe.

While I learned so much, I have no regrets about the choice. Indeed,it has affirmed my belief that our purpose as spiritual beings is to follow our bliss, seek out passions, and live our lives as inspirations to each other. Everything else flows from that.

When we find inspiration, we need to take action for ourselves and for our communities. Even if it means making a hard choice, or cutting out something and leaving it in your past. Saying farewell is also a bold and powerful beginning.
For all that happened and the opportunities still developing in my life, I feel blessed.
